Impacte i millora en el seguiment de la curació de ferides utilitzant intel·ligència artificial

Ulcers are a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide and are caused by a variety of causes, such as diabetes mellitus, peripheral neuropathy, immobility, pressure, arteriosclerosis, infections, and / or venous insufficiency. In general, ulcers are lesions that do not undergo an orderly healing process or produce functional and anatomical integrity in the time provided. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the impact of the incorporation of digital tools and artificial intelligence in clinical practice for the management of chronic wounds. In addition to the results of the different algorithms proposed in the study, the data clearly provide value to the professional, in terms of professionalism, increased productivity, and improvement in the patient care process. It was found, together with clinical professionals, that in addition to obtaining good results in the different algorithms proposed, they are more accurate than the results of traditional mechanisms. Providing value in terms of evaluation time, criteria, rigor and improvement in the clinical practice.
